Stone (Tunisia) - International Competition LM

Leila lives as a recluse in her apartment. Depressed and agoraphobic, she withdraws into silence, her psychological problems manifesting themselves physically. Her childhood, deeply marked by trauma, is a subject she refuses to broach. Her best friend, Salma, a French-Tunisian nurse, is Leila's only link with the outside world. Dedicated and persevering, Salma spends a lot of time with Leila, determined to understand the origins of her suffering and help her heal. Despite her efforts to get Leila to open her eyes and accept treatment, she stubbornly remains in denial, refusing to open up. Salma, going so far as to share her own wounds in order to establish a relationship of trust, is still unable to break Leila's wall of silence. As a last resort, she decides to call on her ex-partner Akram, a psychologist by profession, in the hope that he can break through Leila's armor. It's face
to Akram that, for the first time, Leila agrees to open up. She reveals a long-buried secret, finally lifting the veil on the source of her torment.
