After studying performing arts at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, he wrote and directed his first short film, Petite Blessure, in 2002.He made his professional debut as an assistant director, before writing several scripts for short films directed by other filmmakers, such as La Mouche et moi by Rachid El Ouali and Destin de famille by Younes Reggab.In 2005, he signed on to direct five TV films as part of the Film Industry Made in Morocco project, produced by Nabil Ayouch. Among them, Squelette enjoyed a successful run at international festivals, including Vues d'Afrique, Lumières de Lyon and the Sétif Amazigh Film Festival.He then co-directed, alongside Ali El Mejboud, the four-season series Une heure en enfer for the Moroccan channel Al Aoula. This series won him the Best Director Award at the 2009 Arab Media Festival in Cairo.He followed this up with several successful series for local channels, including Okba Lik, Bnat Lalla Mennana, Zina and others.In 2014, he directed his first feature film, Karyan Bollywood, hailed at several festivals where it won numerous awards, including in Malmö, Geneva and Tangier.During the Covid crisis, he shot a very low-budget film, La Dernière Répétition, behind closed doors and on his own, followed by his latest work to date: Les Fourmis

Three intertwined stories follow Félicité, a young sub-Saharan migrant
Moroccan-Spanish border near Melilla. After the tragic death of her friend
Sandrine, Félicité vows to pay her respects by returning to Tangier to win
money and give him a Christian funeral. The second story
focuses on Hamid, an unscrupulous recruiter who exploits workers
migrants, whose deceptions end up costing him his job. Finally, Kenza, a
a wealthy young mother, hires Félicité as a nanny against her husband's wishes,
triggering a growing marital conflict that plunges Félicité into despair.
